Geographical situation:
It is located in Tehran – Mashhad road (50 km to Mashhad)
Description of Area: This area is located between two villages called Akhlamad and Down Akhlamad
The height of the walls in this region are 150 to 400 m Names of walls:
-Allaho Akbar
-Sefid
-Tekkeh
Accessibility: Generally the walls of this area stand near dirt road between Akhlamd and down Akhlamad villages
Remarks: Some of the walls in this area have been inagurated by Iranian mountaineers.
Akhlamad Wall:
Akhlamad walls stand in 110 km west of Mashhad city and in the north face route of Binalood range (the highest peak is Binalood – 3,210 m).
In Akhlamad region, there are two village of Upper Akhlamad and Down Akhlamad. The region has a long valley where Akhlamad walls are located.
The highest wall is kamar Bouland wall (280 m from river bed) on 200 m of which rock climbing is possible.
The type of walls of this region is calcareous and their difficulty levels varies between 5.7 to 5.12
There are many climbing routes on the walls which have not been opened yet.
